About

I am a 2020 Student Veterans of America (SVA) Google Scholar and a Grace Hopper 2020 Woman of Color Tech Scholar. I am a dedicated Software Engineer who aims to solve problems by thinking outside of the box. I have always been passionate about technology ever since I built my own PC from scratch when I was only 11 years old. I am an experienced Information Security/Cyber Security Professional and System Administrator/Help Desk Professional of 8 years - I got my experience from the U.S. Active Duty Army. I have the discipline, motivation, and initiative that it takes to work in a fast-paced environment. I have experience in backend and full-stack development that I gained from numerous internships. I graduated cum laude with a Bachelors in Computer Science: Applied Software Engineering from Oregon State University-Cascades (2021). I am currently pursuing my Master of Science in Computer Science with a focus on Software Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin and I am expecting to graduate the summer of 2025. Besides having a passion for Technology, I spend my time in the great outdoors of Oregon. Some outdoor activities that I enjoy are hiking, kayaking, and running nature trails. If I am not doing that, I like to volunteer my time to teach young girls and other minority groups about computer science.

Purpose Statement

I value integrity as well as working for a greater cause and I apply this to my passion for Software Engineering. I want to create innovative software that helps solve problems that help create a more equitable society or assist in transforming the lives of everyday people, organizations, or governments to be the best they can possibly be.
